Hi,
I'm going to be using JeeNode v6 outside along with a tmp 36 temp sensor.
In it's final place, the temperature gets below freezing.
Can I replace the 10 µF capacitor on the JeeNode with a ceramic capacitor?
I heard that these types of capacitors can freeze due to liquid inside or is this not a concern?
Thank you,
Todd

Re: Jeenode & Cold Weather
Anything else I should be concerned about in regards to leaving a JeeNode outside and freezing temps?

Answered my own question.
Capacitor in question is rated - Category temperature range -40 to 85 (Cel)

Hi Todd,
I think that as long as you put the JeeNode inside a waterproof case of some sort, and protect the case from direct sunlight, you are probably just fine unless you are in Canada, Alaska, or near the Antarctic.
Heat may be more of a concern than cold.
Cheers,
Bob
