hi, i bought 10 rbbb board thinking it would be easy finding a local supplier for the 16 MHZ ceramic resonators... guessed wrong.
searching online i see i can replace that with a slightly easier to locate crystals and a cap.
Option 1:
16MHz Ceramic Resonator Jameco# 324662
Option 2:
16MHz Crystal HC49/US Jameco# 325139
20pF Ceramic Disc Capacitors Jameco # 332321 (x2)

but im lacking the wiring diagram for that combo. any help welcome.

You need a capacitor from each end of the crystal to ground. Paul has added pads for surface mount capacitors on the bottom of the BBB boards after Rev C or so, but the RBBB doesn't have much space so I doubt he has added them to the boards since I got mine. If you have to order parts anyway, and you don't need the added accuracy of a crystal, then you would be better off getting the resonators. I got some from DigiKey

Paul, does that pack have both, the SMD and the can capacitors? I'd prefer cans since I'm not really up to doing any smd work.

Sorry - missed the question. The crystal kit comes with both varieties of caps.
