DIP Socket

Where can I find a socket for the atmega368 that this comes with? Even though the picture shows a socket I didn't get one. I thought I found one but it was a little too wide. RadioShack doesn't have one that size.

sirpoonga:

My BBB came with two 14-pin dip sockets that I installed end-to-end. These should be readily available at Radio Shack.

sirpoonga,

If we forgot the socket and you got the board from us, we'll gladly send you one.
Send me email with shipping address.

Paul, I sent you a PM. However, I am having a hard time finding the mouser or digikey part number for the right size socket. I went to my local RadioShack and they no longer carry some componant stuff.

I am sorry, I was mistaken. I bought my RBBB through wulfden. I thought it was here. Eitherway, does anyone have a source?
Email Brian,

I'm sure he'll be glad to send you one. The digikey number is AE10286-ND, but I think they have a $5 adder for orders under $25 so it might cost you $10 for an 83 cent part. I tend to use usps shipping to save money there.

Check out the vector board there - to complete a minimum order - You can get a large piece then cut it up for many projects. It beats the Radio Shack junk all the hell.
