samsung 10.1 tab fails

I have the freeduino ready to go, but the ADK DemoKit downloaded from Market fails to run.

When started manually it says:
The Application ADK DemoKit (process
diyphonegadgets.DemoKit) has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again.

I am running on a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet, android version 3.1, Kernel version 2.6.36.3

Suggestions?

turns out that the ADK Demo kit fails, but the original google DemoKit works fine-- up and running.

Onward to compiling the source.........
