current sensors

Post by avgreg46 »

i was just wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a simple clamp type 120v 0-50amp current sensor that i can use for a 120v on/off switch.

avgreg46,

Our sensor will work really well for this (it's really easy to sense 50 amps right through a line cord) but you'll need to hook it up to a solid state relay - and also to some kind of DC power source. It would be fairly easy to hook the output up to a solid state relay without a microcontroller, if you were just looking for go-no go at 50 amps.

current sensors

How would one connect multiple current sensors?

I am using two 50 A sensors. One on the output of the alternator and one on the output of the battery. I know I can connect one of them to the EIS and assume the other one will also be connected to the EIS.

Will I be able to monitor both current output information on the HX?
