I'm using your wind sensor (MD0550) and want to use it inside the casing of a product with the prongs or tines protruding through an aperture in the casing. I'd like the sensor to be as unobtrusive as possible. Can you confirm whether the 2 exterior prongs are required for the functioning of the sensor or are they there for protection (and can therefore be trimmed off)?
