BUB II --> Unknown devices

Post by alextre » Tue Mar 11, 2014 11:45 am

Hello to all ...
I am new in the arduino world and I need you! :shock:

I purchased a RBBB and BUB II and when I connect the BUB II to the PC (a notebook asus, i7 with windows 7 64 bit) the USB is not recognized and in device manager I see an "UNKNOWN DEVICES"! :cry: :cry: :cry:

I tried to update the driver with the driver zip folder downloaded from arduino.cc, with the one downloaded from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm ...

but nothing!

Can anyone help me??

sorry for my bad english!!!!

Sometimes Windows has a hard time finding the drivers or getting them installed correctly. Please download the drivers to a known location. The open the device manager and look for "USB COM Port" (or something similar). Click through and then click "Update Drivers" Choose the manual option and point windows at your drivers folder.

You should see a new COM port in Windows when you get the drivers installed correctly.

That's the best I can do for Windows troubleshooting without seeing the specific machine.
