Re: Current Sensor locking up arduino

wiki, hmm - definitely haven't seen this before. Some different things do come to mind that are slightly tricky. Was the desktop or laptop plugged into the same AC line as the heater? Here is one thing I am thinking - when you switch off the heater this is definitely going to trigger a spike of some...

Re: Fluxamasynth Shield documentation?

Peter,

All the params are 7 bit values (127 max). The bank param only responds to 0 and 127.

Happy fluxing,

Re: Fluxamasynth Shield documentation?

hanlonpp,

synth.programChange(bank, channel, voice); // is correct

Now I have to track down which docs are wrong. Can you point me to where we have it listed incorrectly?

Peter,

I'm glad to see you're up and running. You had good instincts on your troubleshooting.

Re: Fluxamasynth Shield documentation?

hanlonpp I also asked about any status information in the synth structure that might indicate where the wheels are falling off... And I asked about Serial.print and does it interfere with Shield operation. You definitely want to use the software serial methods used in the newer library (on Github). ...

Re: Creating Wireless Doorbell Signal To Strobe Light

Did you make any progress on this Bob? Sorry I answered it all off the forum. Did you get you chain of tech glued together? I was just thinking that the JeeLabs currentSourcePlug and some high powered LEDs would be easier to interface than your strobe light. Still I think you bought the SSRs already...

Angie, I'm sorry for the really slow reply and I'm sorry you're having a hard time with the code. Maybe you're up and running with the code by now. The wiki is currently getting fixed but does work anyway. Just scroll down past the errors. http://wiki.moderndevice.com/pmwiki.php?n=MD.ListMethods has...

jismagic, Sorry about the REALLY slow reply. Sorry to sound like a broken record but phpbb is kind of nightmare for me in the back end. Did you find the chip/s of your dreams? Or roll your own solution. I would have started looking at tri-state buffers, seems like there must be something out there. ...

I think I still have the files for the calculator but I think the more modern OS's won't support the software any more. Send your email to support at Moder... - it's on the site and I'll forward you the files. Let me know if you're using a Mac or a PC. If you're on a PC, you should follow the links ...

Pulse Sensor Code updated with HB & PSO2 readings

I coded up an example that outputs heartbeat, signalsize and PSO2 readings from the Modern Device pulse sensor.
The code is all here: https://github.com/moderndevice/SI1143_ ... ox_Sensors

Re: USB-BUB logic level

BobW2,

Not only is it fine to set the logic level to 3.3Vs on both BUBs, it is the default setting on the BUB2 that comes with the solder jumpers set to that level.

The reason, as you have found out, is that it is more universal. 5 volt boards still see 3.3volts as logic high.

Re: SOLVED: USB BUB II Not Working

boozler, Glad you got it going. For others working on troubleshooting problems, it's not always the complicated things that failed. Simple things fail just as often it seems. One morning our SMT oven failed and we got the case off before discovering it was just the power cord that had gone bad, appa...

Re: Same old, same old Connect problem.

Jason, That Arduino version is mighty old, time to update. Unplug the friend from the BBB. Go the Tools -> Serial Port in the Ardunio IDE and see if you see the COM port for the Friend. If you don't see it then one of two or three things is going on. You need to install drivers here http://www.ftdic...

I didn't use that op - amp anyway - sorry about the schematic. I just grabbed the first quad SOIC op amp I found and plunked it down. (hence the note) Any general purpose rail to rail type will work. We're using TLV2434AIPWR chiefly because it can handle higher voltages - I think I was originally lo...

gaitskell, The software was not on the chips. The sketch is on the page you referenced Maybe it wasn't when you wrote this. mdAndy, atan2 (and all the trig functions) return numbers in radians. there are 2 pi radians in a circle so your data probably goes from either 3.14 to -3.14 or 0 to 6.28 Does that synch with values you're getting? You have to be a math head (not me!) to love radians, and then it all makes perfect s...

Michael, Are you using the example sketch from the library? Examples -> LibHumidity -> GetRelativeHumdity ? You should try making a new libary folder temporarily (Save the old one in something like "library old") Download the library again, put it in the new library folder (Look in Arduino IDE ->Fil...
