I'd say engineer something similar without the USB Jack, plug the board directly into the port. Lower costs, easier use. I like the design of the RBBB nice and clean, and easy to customize.

RBBB with onboard USB
I would be really interested with a board similar to the RBBB (which is great) with onboard USB to plug the board directly into a USB port. I was also thinking of a small converter similar to Sparkfuns Breakout Board for FT232RQ USB to Serial http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?product...
