Re: Assembled USB BUBs

Howdy, First a bit that is off-topic. On another forum post, I mentioned having a BBB that I could never get running. I got it back and looked it over carefully, with the instructions. I realized today that I was missing a jumper. The instructions say "Put the USB / EXT shorting clip". That never ma...

Re: Another Power Question from a Newbie

Howdy, I had been composing a long response and the forum software just threw it all away and made me login again. That is not very nice. I'll try again, but I had more detail before. The circuit you suggest seems fundamentally different from mine. I am pretty much using the one at: http://www.ardui...

Re: 328

Nevermind,
I found another message on your forum that talks about this. It calls the chip the 368 and that is probably why I missed it at first.

Pointer to k107 is out of date

Howdy,
On your page:
http://moderndevice.com/LCD.shtml
you point to a product at another website. He changed that URL. The new one is:
http://wulfden.org/TheShoppe/k107/index.shtml
I don't know if you want this kind of correction or not.
Good day,
Ralph

Re: LED's in your video

Paul,
Which LED did you choose? I'd like to at least look it up, and maybe I would get a few.

328

Howdy,
Is the RBBB compatible with the 328 from Atmel? Can I upgrade that chip and then reconfigure the Arduino software for the new chip, or is there more to it?
Thanks

Assembled USB BUBs

Howdy, I am mostly a software guy. I want to learn about these embedded devices and make a thing or two. But, for now, I am sticking with what I can screw together or connect on a breadboard. I want to but a few more controllers like the RBBB(or maybe an iDuino). It seems to me that the USB BUBs are...

Re: L4931

Howdy,
Look at the label on the power supply, if it has one. If it shows two horizontal lines where it shows the power capacity, it is unregulated. If it shows a solid line on top and a dashed line below, it is a regulated supply.
Good luck,
Ralph

Re: Another Power Question from a Newbie

Howdy, I want to control at least 16 high power LEDs from an Arduino. I have a test circuit going now with 4 LEDs and I think I know how to take it to 16 LEDs. I turn the LEDs on and off with a 74HC595. I'll need a second one of those. But, the part I don't understand is the power. I currently drive...

Obscured address on Contact page

Howdy, I can understand why you hide your email address from spambots, but I don't get why you would similarly hide your mailing address. I always feel more comfortable when I can cut and paste the mailing address. That way, I know I did not mistype it. It does not seem likely to me that this adds a...

Is this all I need to start?

Howdy, I hope this does not seem like too basic a question, but I have been over your website and I have not quite figured it out. I played with a Basic stamp a fair amount about 15 years ago, but I am mostly a software guy. I want to try the arduino out on a couple of simple projects to start. I wa...
